We are hiring a Cutter Profile Designer & Machinist!

Whitehill Tools is a leading industrial tool manufacturer in the UK, with an opportunity for a well-motivated individual who is keen to progress.

The ideal candidate will have some experience CAD, and training will also be provided. Attention to detail is also particularly crucial in this role

In addition to CAD activities, the chosen candidate will be required to liaise with customers to confirm technical drawings before going for manufacture. Our technical drawings are created based on customer sketches, samples and requirements that they have sent in.

As there will be direct contact with customers, an excellent telephone manner and a proactive approach are also essential.

Part of the role is also to programme cutter paths for the robot-assisted CNC machine to run overnight; training also provided.

There are so many different skill sets at Whitehill as we are predominately an engineering company, so this the perfect opportunity for someone with a willingness to learn.


Essential requirements

• A can-do attitude and friendly demeanour.

• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills

• Ability to work well in a team as well as independently

• Competent computer skills

• Flexibility and willingness to take on other duties as and when needed

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable experience

• CAD software, i.e. Autocad or Draftsight

• Working in a production environment

• Operating machinery

Salary dependent on experience

Usual working hours 7:30 am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday
